Agriculture futures trade higher on the CBOT

[January 22, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures rose Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery climbed 21.75 cents to $5.7175 a bushel, while March corn gained 6.75 cents to $3.9025 a bushel. March oats added 2 cents to $2.16 a bushel, and March soybeans jumped 28.5 cents to $10.205 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures mostly fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle slid 0.27 cent to 82.35 cents a pound, while March feeder cattle lost 0.40 cent to 91.35 a pound. February lean hogs shed 0.40 cent to 59.32 cents a pound, but February pork bellies settled up 1.33 cents to 82 cents a pound.
