[January 22, 2009]  WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) -- A Wausau teenager who faces a felony burglary charge for a church-break-in can thank his family for the arrest.

RestaurantCourt records said an 18-year-old teen's father and sister told investigators he admitted using a golf club to break a glass window at St. Michael Catholic Church and crawling inside last weekend.

The criminal complaint said the teen denied the allegations, including that he drank half of a bottle of wine at the church.

The teen was charged Tuesday with burglary, theft, criminal damage to property and six counts of bail jumping. A judge set bail at $1,000 cash.

Court records said $30 was stolen from a wooden collection box in the church and a five-pointed star was scratched into a wooded table.
