[January 27, 2009]  Greg Brinner of RE/MAX Hometown Realty, after 10 years with the internationally franchised name, has decided to not renew the franchise. "I have been extremely satisfied with the services and training that RE/MAX has provided and may return to the franchise at some future date," he said. "The company name will remain Hometown Realty."

The new Web address for the business will be www.hometownrlty.com.

Brinner said in a news release:

"In the economic slump that currently exists, there is a time when belt-tightening must be done in order to serve within a budget. My building is listed for sale, and I will be moving to a smaller location in the near future to further reduce costs.

"With technology today, much of the realty work is performed in the field and electronically. Communications are done by cell phones, text messaging, e-mail and by fax. Marketing is primarily Internet-based and local advertising is done by e-mail; the need for large office space has diminished.

"I will continue to serve buyers and sellers in the Logan and Mason County area and expect to provide the highest level of knowledge and service in the area."
