Agriculture, livestock futures mixed on the CBOT

[July 01, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery dropped 17.25 cents to $5.1125 a bushel, while July corn sank 29.25 cents to $3.4775 a bushel and July oats edged up 1.25 cents to $2.1475 a bushel. Soybeans for July delivery jumped 11.25 cents to $12.2625 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures also traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle slipped 0.15 cent to 85.25 cents a pound; August feeder cattle rose 1.1 cents to $1.0282 cents a pound; July lean hogs gained 0.65 cent to 58.67 cents a pound; and July pork bellies lost 1.7 cents to 54.3 cents a pound.
