[July 03, 2009]  The Chad Burnham Flag Football League!!  Save money this year by donating a 24-pack of water, energy drink or soda pop to the YMCA. We are giving a $5 rebate for anyone who brings in one of these 24-pack items to the Y office when registering for flag football, fall soccer and other sports to be named later. This program is for children age 4 to second grade. Each child will learn the fundamentals of football, make lasting friendships and have a whole lot of FUN! Our volunteer coaches will conduct one practice during the week, and games will be on Saturday mornings.

For information on Lincoln Area YMCA programs and events, visit the downtown office, 604 Broadway St., Suite 1; call 735-3915; or visit www.lincolnymca.org.  The YMCA Activity Center is at the former Odd Fellows gymnasium on Wyatt Avenue.

YMCA Golf Clinic instructor Jeff Nelson will customize lessons for each young golfer, kindergarten through eighth grade, to improve their individual skills. Session B regular registrations end July 20, and the program is Aug. 3-6 at the Lincoln Elks driving range. Sign up soon. Space is limited.
