Each day the campers participated in activities, including crafts, a
chance to meet local officials and field trips to places like the
fire department and post office. The camp is at no cost and
includes lunch and transportation. The children who participate
might not otherwise be able to have the day camp experience. This
day camp has been offered for several years and is likely to
continue into the future. Interested parents should contact
Community Action in April or May to sign up for the camp.
"The children always have a great time," said Angela Stoltzenburg,
executive director of the Community Action Partnership. "We're
thankful to Kiwanis, local businesses who host the children, our
other sponsors and the Community Action staff who go above and
beyond to create a good experience for these children."
