When the weapon of choice is water, a little rain isn't going to stand in any young water fighter's way! Saturday morning, immediately following the children's walking parade, youngsters gathered at the Lincoln Park District to do battle with the city of Lincoln firefighters.

The overhead pumper targets two members of the Cub Scouts, dressed in orange. Perhaps they didn't look wet enough to the firefighter running the controls.

Sometimes it's just about getting wet!

How do you stay dry in a water fight? Well, with an umbrella, of course!!

The young Scout with the umbrella thinks he is safe from the shower. However...

...The city of Lincoln firefighters, are very well-trained and skilled at directing the water flow. As seen here, they hit their target dead-on, and the umbrella-clad Scout doesn't stand a chance! As another balloon trooper flees, this young man manages to holds the line!
