Agriculture futures trade mostly lower on the CBOT

[July 08, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mostly lower Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

DonutsWheat for September delivery lost 6.75 cents to $5.125 a bushel, while September corn fell 9.25 cents to $3.255 a bushel and August soybeans plunged 65 cents to $10.535 a bushel. Oats for September delivery inched up 0.75 cent to $2.13 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures traded lower and pork futures advanced on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle fell 0.22 cent to 84.2 cents a pound; August feeder cattle slid 1.15 cents to $1.0265 a pound; August lean hogs gained 0.15 cent to 62.2 cents a pound; and August pork bellies rose 2 cents to 57.52 cents a pound.
