The unit will not travel Aug. 4, 5 and 6. On those dates, HOPE
clinical staff will provide school and athletic physicals at the
Logan County Department of Public Health, 109 Third St. in Lincoln.
"The health department offers a larger, air-conditioned waiting
area as compared to the HOPE Mobile," said Kat Yong, HOPE's
certified family nurse practitioner. Yong also stresses that "the
$45 physical rate will no longer be available after Sept. 30, 2009,
so it's important to have your child's physical completed as soon as
possible." Appointments are not needed for school and athletic
physicals.
Beginning Aug. 3, the following schedule changes will be in
effect:
-
The first Monday
of each month, the HOPE Mobile will travel to Hartsburg in the
morning and Emden in the afternoon.
-
The third Monday
of each month will find the unit in Latham in the morning and
Broadwell in the afternoon
-
Fridays will be devoted to dental
appointments or maintaining the HOPE Mobile.
Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday schedules will remain the same.

"These changes should not have a noticeable effect on patient care
or the quality of services the HOPE staff provide," said Kristi
Lessen, director of the Healthy Communities Partnership.
