[July 22, 2009]  The road known as County Highway 12 or 950th Street will be closed to replace a box culvert two miles east of Broadwell. Construction is scheduled to begin this week and is expected to take at least eight weeks to complete. During this time, the roadway will be completely closed to traffic.

This box culvert needs to be replaced due to the condition of its foundation. Logan County is using federal funds from the Highway Bridge Program to complete this construction.

The project was awarded to County Contractors, located in Quincy. The construction cost is approximately $173,713.

Cooperation and patience is always appreciated during the construction season as we continue to improve the safety of our roads and bridges.
