Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[July 25, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were lower Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery dropped 15.5 cents to $5.1625 a bushel, while September corn slid 10.75 cents to $3.1625 a bushel and September oats lost 7.5 cents to $1.95 a bushel. Soybeans for August delivery fell 2.5 cents to $10.21 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures trade mixed and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle slipped 0.5 cent to 84.52 cents a pound; August feeder cattle inched up 0.18 cent to $1.0255 a pound; August lean hogs fell 1.9 cents to 59.05 cents a pound; and August pork bellies lost 2 cents to 61.3 cents a pound.
