Lincoln Police Department reports for Monday, July 27
Property damage on July 23 at 2:16 a.m.; North Kickapoo Street at
Peoria Street
--Jessica J. Breden, 21-year-old female, Lincoln; 2005 Hyundai
Accent
Breden was traveling north on Kickapoo Street, attempted to make
a right turn and struck a fire hydrant on the northeast side of the
intersection. She also struck a stop sign and post. Her vehicle
received moderate damage.
Breden was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

--Sophia Louise Hill-Sosamon, 77-year-old female, Lincoln; 2002
Buick LeSabre Custom
--Betty L. Wankel, 79-year-old female, Lincoln; 2004 Buick
LeSabre Custom
Wankel was westbound on Pekin Street from Kickapoo Street. Hill-Sosamon
was turning right out of the parking lot of Shear Perfection.
Wankel’s front bumper struck the rear door of the driver’s side of
Hill-Sosamon’s vehicle.
Hill-Sosamon was taken to Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital by
the Logan County Paramedics. Her vehicle was towed. Wankel did not
have any apparent injuries and drove away from the scene.
