Agriculture, livestock futures mostly higher

[July 28, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mostly higher Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for September delivery rose 4.25 cents to $5.205 a bushel, while September corn added 6 cents to $3.2225 a bushel and soybeans for August delivery inched up 0.25 cent to $10.2125 a bushel. September oats were unchanged at $1.95 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures also mostly rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle added 0.18 cent to 84.70 cents a pound; August feeder cattle shed 0.15 cent to $1.0240 a pound; August lean hogs rose 0.12 cent to 59.17 cents a pound; and August pork bellies gained 0.92 cent to 62.22 cents a pound.
