[June 03, 2009]  Peasley Memorials, Logan County's only hometown-owned monument company, is now open for business.

The grand opening is scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Stop in to register for a TV giveaway and look around the new showroom.

Located at 106 Fifth St. in Lincoln, the company is co-owned by Don Peasley, Krystal Peasley Salvator and Stan Salvator.

Dena Manley, memorial specialist, will work with clients to create the memorial tribute they seek.

"Opening a monument company has been in the back of my mind for several years," said Don Peasley, co-owner of the new business. "When I heard of the opportunity to hire Dena Manley, I knew the right time had arrived."

Manley brings three generations of monument knowledge and sales experience to Peasley Memorials. "Designing and selling monuments is the work I know best," she said. "I am pleased to have the opportunity to continue this vocation in my hometown of Lincoln."

In addition to her lifelong background in monuments, she is accomplished with computer software that allows her to complete 3-D renderings of proposed monuments for clientele.
