Agriculture, livestock futures mostly drop

[June 04, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures fell Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery sank 23.5 cent to $6.46 a bushel, while July corn shed 6.25 cents to $4.4325 a bushel. July soybeans tumbled 21.5 cents to $11.48 a bushel, and oats for July delivery slid 4.5 cents to $2.56 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures mostly dropped on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle added 0.2 cent to 80.85 cents a pound, while August feeder cattle dropped 0.42 cent to 96.75 cents a pound. June lean hogs tumbled 1.65 cents to 58.1 cents a pound, and July pork bellies sagged 1.75 cents to 66.95 cents a pound.
