Agriculture futures fall, livestock prices mixed

[June 06, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures fell Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery dropped 12.25 cents to $6.23 a bushel, while July corn slipped 4.5 cents to $4.44 a bushel. July oats tumbled 7.5 cents to $2.56 a bushel, and soybeans for July delivery shed 4.5 cents to $12.255 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures traded higher, while pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle edged up 0.15 cent to 81.15 cents a pound, while August feeder cattle gained 0.02 cent to 96.62 cents a pound. June lean hogs slipped 0.10 cent to 57.17 cents a pound, and July pork bellies lost 0.25 cent to 62.70 cents a pound.
