Curry's walk-off single gives Burgrabe Law Office Legal Eagles 1st win in Mustang League play

[June 08, 2009]  Burgrabe's Legal Eagles team evened its record to 1-1 on Saturday, winning its home opener and defeating Clinton 4-3.

DonutsAfter having been tied in the top half of the inning, the Eagles loaded the bases on consecutive hits by Libby Burris, McKenzie O'Donohue and Aurora Board. With one out, Heather Curry drove the ball hard up the middle and Burris scored the winning run. Curry also held Clinton scoreless in her two innings of work on the mound. Earning the win in her pitching debut was Grace Skelton.

The Eagles had two-hit performances from Board, who had also doubled earlier in the game, and Curry. Alexis Van Hook, Danielle Burgrabe, Jazzminn Morecraft and Gracie Hemenway each contributed one hit and there were RBIs from Curry, Van Hook, Morecraft and Hope Moos.
