After hosting several annual spring teas for adults, the Harvest of
Talents at Lincoln Christian Church is preparing to offer a similar event for young ladies.
Julie King, who is chairing the event, is the creative mind behind
the first-time venture. The tea will be limited to young ladies ages
3-12 accompanied by an adult (no more than three children per adult,
but no limit to the adults with each child). The church's
Fellowship Center will be the site of the event, which will have
limited seating. Young ladies are asked to come attired in their
Sunday best or dressed as a fairy princess. Hours for the tea will
be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with seating beginning at 11:15 a.m.
The event will feature three stations where the young ladies may
make bracelets, be made up and have their nails done. Although she
is hesitant to reveal all of the surprises at the event, Mrs. King
did say there will be "a Queen Mumsy, a Prince and, of course, the
King." Photo opportunities will be available.
Guests will be seated for tea at tables decorated in the favorite
princess story of the table hostess. The menu will include dainty
sandwiches, party mix, veggies, fruit skewers, a special "sweet
treat," and tea or pink lemonade.

Mrs. King encourages mothers, aunts and grandmothers to come and
spend time at the Fairy Tale Princess Tea with the special young
women in their lives. "Your young guest need not be a relative," she
added. "Perhaps you might want to bring a neighbor or friend and
share the wonderful world of make-believe with her."
Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased at the office of
Lincoln Christian Church. Seating is limited and the deadline for
purchasing tickets is Friday.
