A sea of color and chrome filled the lot behind The Mill on Friday afternoon as Harley riders from all across the state came.

The H.O.G.s prepare to leave the visitors' station and visit The Mill.

Geoff Ladd of the Route 66 Heritage Foundation of Logan County and the Abraham Lincoln Tourism Bureau of Logan County tells visitors about the history of The Mill, and the work that had been done, and yet to do.

The Mill restaurant is an official Route 66 attraction, and this weekend will be inducted into the Route 66 Motor Tour Association of Illinois Hall of Fame.

After the tour, bikers get ready to head out. They will make another stop at the Information Station, for refreshments.

The "Harley H.O.G." has come a long way since the days of Route 66 glory.

Time to "mount up" and "move on."

.

Bringing up the rear. Someone always has to be the last one to leave the party.
