Lincoln Police Department reports for Monday, June 15
Hit-and-run on June 11 at 9:30 a.m.; 214 S. McLean St., 130 feet
north of Clinton Street

--Audra J. Turley, female, 41, of Lincoln; Dodge Caravan
At 9:30 a.m., Turley parked her vehicle properly on the east side
of the roadway in front of 412 S. McLean St. At 11 a.m., she found
that an unknown vehicle had struck her vehicle and fled the scene.
It appeared that the unknown vehicle, possibly white, was northbound
and sideswiped Turley's vehicle.

Accident on June 11 at 1:39 a.m.; South State Street at Seventh
--Jessie R. McCaine, male, 21, of Lincoln; 1992 Dodge Dakota
McCaine was traveling west on Seventh Street at a high rate of
speed. He disobeyed the stop sign at the "T" intersection of Seventh
and South State Street and skidded through the intersection,
striking the curb on the west side of State Street, then skidded
through the front yard of 110 S. State and struck the front porch
before the vehicle came to a final resting position. The vehicle
struck the residence with such force that it caused severe damage to
the residence's windows, concrete porch and foundation. The vehicle
also received heavy damage and was totaled.
McCaine's front-seat passenger had to be extricated from the
vehicle by fire department personnel. Both McCaine and his passenger
were transported to St. John's Hospital in Springfield by Logan
County Paramedics for the trauma sustained in the crash.
McCaine did not have proof of insurance.
