[June 16, 2009]  HANCEVILLE, Ala. (AP) -- A 33-year-old man ended up in jail after he called in a robbery and police allegedly found a working meth lab in his house. Police arrested the man for manufacturing of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

The man reported he had been robbed by his roommates, but Capt. Jimmy Rodgers said officers were unable to verify that. Rodgers said when officers located the lab, they discovered it was still active.

Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team agents were called to the scene to take samples and positively identify the seized chemicals and drugs.

The man was incarcerated on a $1 million bond.
