[June 16, 2009]  BOSTON (AP) -- A Boston woman accused of throwing a handful of change in the face of a Boston bus driver faces an assault charge.

According to a police report, 23-year-old Chantal Williams boarded an MBTA bus Sunday and told the driver, "I only have this change and you're gonna let me ride this bus."

The driver, according to the report, called dispatch to have Williams removed for refusing to pay the fare. The driver told police that an irate Williams then left the bus, but not before throwing what change she had in his face.

The driver refused medical treatment.

Williams was later arrested for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Officials said she did not show up for a scheduled arraignment Monday in municipal court.

No phone number was listed for Williams.
