[June 18, 2009]  In opening Bronco action, Ace Hardware split games with Mount Pulaski teams.

DonutsAce Hardware won 14-7 over Mount Pulaski 1.

Starting pitcher Brayden Curry struck out three batters in two innings. Also pitching were Shawn Cannon with three strikeouts; Gage Vinson, three strikeouts; Ty Whitetree, one strikeout; and Ben Steiner closed out the game with one strikeout.

Big hitters for Ace were Griffin Pollock with a single, double and triple and Ben Steiner with a single and two doubles. Jim Sielaff, Blake Stagnolia, Ty Whitetree and Ryan Rutschke each had a hit.

Hitting for Mount Pulaski 1 were Will Stewart with a single and triple, Brandon Huff with two hits, and Brett Huff with one hit.

Ace Hardware lost 8-6 to Mount Pulaski 2 at Lincoln.

Ben Steiner pitched five innings, striking out nine, and Blake Laudstrow pitched two innings, striking out two.

Hits for Ace Hardware were by Brayden Curry, who had three singles; Gage Vinson, a single and a double; Ben Steiner, a single and a double; and Griffin Pollock, a single.

Hitting for Mount Pulaski 2 were Adams with two singles; Amidon, one single; and Przykopanski, one single.
