Agriculture futures trade higher on the CBOT

[June 19, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures traded higher Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

HardwareWheat for July delivery inched up 0.25 cent to $5.66 a bushel, while July corn gained 3.75 cents to $4.0775 a bushel and July soybeans jumped 5 cents to $12.0625 a bushel. Oats for July delivery rose 1.25 cents to $2.1425 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures were higher and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle advanced 1 cent to 81.37 cents a pound; August feeder cattle edged up 0.77 cent to 97.32 cents a pound; July lean hogs rose 1.68 cents to 59.95 cents a pound; and July pork bellies lost 0.35 cent to 58.8 cents a pound.
