Flag football registrations are under
way! Children from 4 years old to second grade will learn the
fundamentals of football, make lasting friendships and have a whole
lot of FUN! Our volunteer coaches will conduct one practice during
the week, and the games will be on Saturday mornings. Program fees
will vary. Please call the office, 735-3915, to find out about
money-saving opportunities for this program.

YMCA Golf Clinic regular registrations for session A have now
passed, BUT you can still sign up with a nominal fee increase! YMCA
golf instructor Jeff Nelson will customize lessons for each young
golfer, kindergarten through eighth grade, to improve their
individual skills. Session A will be July 6-10 at the Lincoln Elks
Club. Session B regular registrations end July 20 and the program
will be Aug. 3-6. Sign up quick; space is limited. YMCA Youth
Paintball!! This is a challenging, no-impact paintball program
designed to teach basic fundamentals on how paintball markers work.
Your instructor will take you through our high-tech paintball range,
maneuvering around obstacles, and teach how to move and think like a
team. Each week is a new and exciting scenario like Mission:
Impossible, Capture the Flag and 007. NO REPEATS. No equipment
needed. Register by noon the Wednesday prior to each Saturday to
avoid a $10 fee increase.
YMCA Summer Day Camp is under way, but if your kids are
bored, it's not too late to join our fun! Campers have already
visited various field trip locations, but more is coming in July and
August! Campers swim daily at the Lincoln Park District pool and
will be taking field trips to DragonLand Water Park, Splashdown
Waterpark, a Peoria Chiefs baseball game, Nelson Ice Skating Rink,
Scoville Zoo, Fondulac Farm Park, and local fishing and park
outings. Kid Camp, for kindergarten to third grade, and Preteen
Camp, for fourth to sixth grader, are definitely on the move but
will also experience sport clinics in flag football and soccer, an
archery demonstration, and learn from guest speakers.
