[June 20, 2009]  WASHINGTON (AP) -- Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has had successful surgery to repair a fractured right elbow. The State Department says she's expected to make a full recovery.

Clinton injured herself in a fall at the State Department on Wednesday.

A department statement says Clinton had surgery Friday morning at The George Washington University Hospital and then returned to her Washington home.

Doctors told her she is expected to recover without lasting damage to her arm.
