Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[March 19, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures traded lower Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery slid 9.25 cents to $5.46 a bushel, while July corn dropped 14 cents to $3.8525 a bushel and July soybeans plunged to 27.5 cents to $11.515 a bushel. Oats for July delivery fell 8.5 cents to $2.035 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures advanced and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle edged up 0.73 cent to 82.85 cents a pound; August feeder cattle rose 0.82 cent to 98.92 cents a pound; July lean hogs lost 0.97 cent to 60.45 cents a pound; and July pork bellies jumped 1.75 cent to 61.9 cents a pound.
