Hartsburg-Emden FFA named a Gold Emblem chapter

[June 24, 2009]  HARTSBURG -- Members of the Hartsburg-Emden FFA recently attended the State FFA Convention in Springfield. The chapter was named a Gold Emblem chapter and received the Section 14 Banker's plaque for being the top chapter in Section 14.

The chapter also received awards as section winner in the Heritage and Cooperative Activities programs; the Sweepstakes and Century awards; section winner in Student Development and Chapter Development with the chapter's program of activities; and Danielle Horn was chosen as a Gold Emblem chapter president.

Josh Clark and Kortney Hoerbert represented the chapter as voting delegates.

State FFA Degree recipients were Nolan Lessen, Alex Lessen, Adam Cross and Danielle Horn.
