San Jose Homemakers install officers

[June 25, 2009]  SAN JOSE -- The San Jose Homemakers met recently to install officers, and the program was given by Earl Urish of Green Valley.

New officers for the San Jose Homemakers are (left to right) Diana James, Faye Duckworth, Lucille Albers and Frances Hoffman.

HardwareUrish told of his experiences while serving in the Army during World War II. He has written all about it in a book titled "The Education of Private Urish." 

After the program, Marlene Eeten, club historian, installed Diana James, chairman, and Frances Hoffman, secretary for 2009-2010. Other officers are Lucille Albers, vice chairman, and Faye Duckworth, treasurer.

A gift was given to the past chairman, Darlene Hoerbert.

The next meeting will be Sept. 15. Most meetings are at 1:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month at the San Jose Community Building.
