Lincoln Legion defeats Jacksonville 13-12 in 10 innings

[June 26, 2009]  The Lincoln Senior Legion eked out a 13-12 victory Thursday, scoring a run in the top of the 10th. After Jacksonville tied the game in the bottom of the ninth, Andrew Sparks led off the 10th inning with a double. He moved over to third on a wild pitch and scored the winning run on another wild pitch.

In the bottom half of the tenth, Jared Daugherty pitched the final three outs to secure the victory.

Bryce Hunsley had a grand slam home run in the seven-run sixth inning for Lincoln.
