[June 26, 2009]  The Logan County Finance Committee is accepting requests for hotel-motel tax funds to be used for tourism-related projects and events in 2010.

InsuranceThose who request funds should provide information on what the funds will be used for and how the use of funds will bring more tourists to the county. Publicity plans should also be included.

Information about the organization should include the officers of the organization and whether the organization is nonprofit and has a 501(c)(3) designation. Bylaws of the organization and most recent financial report, if available, also should be submitted. Organizations should also indicate whether they’ve received hotel-motel tax funds in past years and if so, when and how much.

Requests for the funds should be submitted to the Logan County Board, P.O. Box 39, Lincoln, IL 62656; or delivered in person to the county board office at the courthouse. The deadline is July 24.

Requests will be reviewed by the committee on July 27 and 28.
