Lincoln Heat 12U win tournament

[June 30, 2009]  The Lincoln Heat 12U went undefeated in the Heat tournament over the weekend.

InsuranceFriday night they played the McLean County Twins and won 12-2.

Saturday they played El Paso, and in the fourth inning the rest of the game was postponed because of lightning. They resumed the game Sunday morning and the Heat went on to win 12-2.

Sunday afternoon they faced Rochester and won 10-6.

The Heat faced the Bloomington Blaze in the championship. They came back from a three-run deficit to win 9-8.

The Lincoln Heat's 12U record is now 33-5.
