Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[March 06, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures fell Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery fell 8 cents to $5.15 a bushel; May corn lost 5 cents to $3.585 a bushel; May oats fell 3.25 cents to $1.845 a bushel; and May soybeans dropped 16.5 cents to $8.52 a bushel.

Beef futures traded lower and pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle fell 0.75 cent to 83.9 cents a pound; April feeder cattle lost 1.03 cents to 92.82 cents a pound; April lean hogs gained 0.1 cent to 62.42 cents a pound; and May pork bellies advanced 1.35 cents to 82.9 cents a pound.
