Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[March 07, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery gained 12 cents to $5.27 a bushel; May corn rose 3 cents to $3.615 a bushel; May oats lost 1.75 cents to $1.8275 a bushel; and May soybeans jumped 15 cents to $8.67 a bushel.

Beef futures fell and pork futures traded higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle fell 1.45 cents to 82.45 cents a pound; April feeder cattle lost 2.2 cents to 90.62 cents a pound; April lean hogs inched up 0.08 cent to 62.5 cents a pound; and May pork bellies rose 0.3 cent to 83.2 cents a pound.
