Agriculture futures trade higher on the CBOT

[March 17, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures rose Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery climbed 26 cents to $5.4425 a bushel; May corn gained 3 cents to $3.915 a bushel; May oats rose 2.5 cents to $1.885 a bushel; and May soybeans jumped 34.5 cents to $9.11 a bushel.

Beef futures were lower and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle slipped 0.2 cent to 84.45 cents a pound; May feeder cattle lost 0.32 cent to 93.7 cents a pound; April lean hogs fell 0.45 cent to 62.75 cents a pound; and May pork bellies rose 3 cents to 88.5 cents a pound.
