[March 18, 2009]  (AP)  A state-by-state look at results of results of steroids tests in high schools:

Florida

Tests administered: 600

Positive results: 1

Notes: Florida had a statewide testing program only during the 2007-08 school year.

Illinois

Tests administered: 264

Positive results: 6

Notes: The program began in the fall of 2008; results reflect only one semester of testing. All six students who tested positive had medical exemptions.

New Jersey

Tests administered: 1,001

Positive results: 2

Notes: Results reflect 2006-07 and 2007-08 school years.

Texas

Tests administered: 28,934

Positive results: 9

Notes: Results reflect spring 2008 and fall 2008 semesters. Additionally, there were 14 unresolved tests sent for review and 70 "process positives" in which students had unexcused absences, refused to give samples or left testing sites.
