Staff,
students and faculty at Washington-Monroe School spent Thursday learning all about Brazil and
the rain forest. The day started with an LCHS exchange student from
Brazil, who told everyone what it was like to live and go to school
in Brazil. Students turned the gym area into a tropical rain forest
for activities that included making masks, eating Brazilian-type
foods and learning about the country and the rain forest. To burn up
a little youthful energy, students jumped across the Amazon River
before returning to their classes.
