[March 28, 2009]  Join us on April 13 for Art Day. Participants will learn about the techniques used in papermaking, make paper from standard, everyday materials and create a project made of paper. This class is for children in first through sixth grade and will be at the Y Activity Center, 719 Wyatt Ave., from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

YMCA Summer Day Camp is the place to be for your summer of fun. We have lots of fun and activities planned, along with daily swimming and field trip fun. We offer camp for kindergarten through third grade, fourth to sixth grade and seventh to ninth grade. Day camp will meet at the Y Activity Center beginning on June 4 and runs from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Early registration is April 8-May 6 at a discounted rate. Weekly and daily camp fees increase starting May 7. Register now to avoid any increases in fees.

Looking for a special gift for your niece, nephew or grandchild? Stop by the Lincoln Area YMCA for your gift certificate. We offer gift certificates for any programs and any amount. Help someone experience the fun that is the YMCA!

Thanks to Dave Duvall for all his hard work and dedication with the YMCA Archery program. Look for him to give an archery demonstration at the cow bingo event.

The YMCA will have a booth at the Community Health Fair on April 3 and 4 to promote swimming lessons, volleyball and summer camp. Stop by and see what the YMCA and other community agencies have to offer to the public. Be sure to bring your recycling to help Logan County "Go Green."

The YMCA is still accepting slightly used soccer cleats for the Cleats for Kids program. Participants can borrow cleats for the spring soccer program and then return them for another child to use for fall soccer. This program helps out families who can't afford cleats for their kids.
