Agriculture futures fall on the CBOT

[March 28, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures fell Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery dropped 7.25 cents to $5.0725 a bushel; May corn lost 3.75 cents to $3.87 a bushel; May oats fell 1.5 cents to $1.955 a bushel; and May soybeans slid 27 cents to $9.17 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle inched up 0.05 cent to 84.32 cents a pound; May feeder cattle fell 0.65 cent to 94.3 cents a pound; April lean hogs slipped 0.05 cent to 60.47 cents a pound; and May pork bellies rose 0.9 cent to 85.9 cents a pound.
