[May 05, 2009]  LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Despite landing in the bottom three last week, "American Idol" front-runner Adam Lambert has found another fan: Slash.

The former Guns 'N Roses guitarist, who is serving as a mentor for this week's rock performances, wrote on his Twitter account Saturday that he thought the "Idol" finalists, especially Lambert, could sing their butts off.

The 43-year-old rocker also wrote that the remaining four singers -- Lambert, Kris Allen, Danny Gokey (GO'-key) and Allison Iraheta (EAR'-ah-HE'-ta) -- picked "some really cool songs" for Tuesday's performances on the popular Fox singing competition. Another singer will be sent home Wednesday while the eighth season champ is scheduled to be crowned May 20.
