Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[May 08, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures traded mixed Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery jumped 11.5 cents to $5.7025 a bushel, while July corn rose 4.5 cents to $4.12 a bushel and July oats advanced 9 cents to $2.17 a bushel. Soybeans for July delivery dropped 16 cents to $11.02 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle lost 0.4 cent to 81.47 cents a pound; August feeder cattle fell 0.5 cent to 98.5 cents a pound; June lean hogs edged down 0.73 cent to 66.37 cents a pound; and July pork bellies dropped 2.05 cents to 79.35 cents a pound.
