Madigan announced Thursday that he has introduced legislation to
fire agency directors, board members and other appointees picked by
George Ryan and Rod Blagojevich.
He says about 3,000 people could be affected.
Under Madigan's plan, the appointees would keep their jobs for 60
days while a review is conducted. After that, they would be out of
work unless new Gov. Pat Quinn reappoints them.
Madigan says he's taking this action because Quinn isn't moving fast
enough to clean up state government.
Quinn says he supports the idea.
The bill is
HB4450.
