Agriculture futures trade higher on the CBOT

[May 13, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were higher Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery gained 2 cents to $5.9275 a bushel, while July corn rose 6.25 cents to $4.275 a bushel and July oats advanced 3 cents to $2.355 a bushel. Soybeans for July delivery edged up 1.5 cents to $11.175 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures traded lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle slipped 0.07 cent to 83.2 cents a pound; August feeder cattle fell 0.15 cent to $1.015 a pound; June lean hogs dropped 1.15 cents to 68.92 cents a pound; and July pork bellies lost 0.5 cent to 78.55 cents a pound.
