Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[May 20, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery fell 1.75 cents to $5.8875 a bushel, while July corn gained 4.25 cents to $4.2575 a bushel and July soybeans jumped 15.5 cents to $11.62 a bushel. Oats for July delivery lost 1.75 cents to $2.34 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures traded lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle slid 0.85 cent to 81.67 cents a pound; August feeder cattle fell 0.45 cent to $1.0137 a pound; June lean hogs edged down 0.52 cent to 66.25 cents a pound; and July pork bellies dropped 1.2 cents to 72.2 cents a pound.
