[May 22, 2009]  There will be a fundraiser for the Armington Park District gym on Saturday, May 30, from noon to 7 p.m.

Features:

  • Music by the Mavericks, Armington Jamboree Band and Jason Gordon.

  • Special guests: "Ethel and Friend."

  • Food will be served.

  • Silent and Chinese auctions.

This is a fundraiser for the Armington Park District gym as there are many major repairs needed. We feel there is a need for the community to come together and "help save our gym." We would rather have a fundraiser than ask for a tax increase. Come and join us and help support our projects. Come and have a great time with friends.

Congratulations to Edgar and Evelyn Logan, who will mark their 60th wedding anniversary on Friday, May 22. A family dinner at Guzzardo's is planned to observe the occasion.

Evelyn Sloan and Edgar Logan were married May 22, 1949, in Lincoln, with the Rev. Earl Hargrove officiating.

They have three children, Lee Logan, Roy Logan and John Logan; four grandchildren, Sean and Nathaniel Logan and Aaron and Amanda Entringer; and two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Aaden Entringer.

Both are retired from Christian Homes, where Edgar was maintenance supervisor and Evelyn was a secretary.
