Pastor Mark Thompson of Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln gave the introductory prayer and benediction.
Although the veterans memorial is on the square, the wreath-laying ceremony was still done.

Father Laible, chaplain, gave the keynote address.
The walls and halls were filled with people who came to pay their respects to our veterans.
The veterans went outside to volley their rounds.
A time-honored tradition: Ham and beans was served after the ceremony.
