[May 26, 2009]  NEW YORK (AP) -- Students have returned to more than two dozen New York City public schools that were closed because of swine flu.

HardwareThe schools include Intermediate School 238 in the Hollis neighborhood of Queens. That's the school where assistant principal Mitchell Wiener (WEE'-nuhr) became the city's first death from the virus.

Some students gathered in the school yard before going inside. Others boarded a bus for a school trip to Washington.

Also reopening Tuesday was Public School 19 in the Corona neighborhood of Queens. Schools Chancellor Joel Klein welcomed the children back there.

Over the weekend, a woman in her 50s died, becoming the city's second swine flu victim and the nation's 11th.
