Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[May 28, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery jumped 13.75 cents to $6.2575 a bushel, while July oats rose 6 cents to $2.5375 a bushel and July soybeans gained 1.5 cents to $11.87 a bushel. Corn for July delivery fell 1.5 cents to $4.26 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures fell and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle lost 0.45 cent to 82.37 cents a pound; August feeder cattle slipped 0.12 cent to $1.0245 cents a pound; June lean hogs fell 0.28 cent to 65.27 cents a pound; and July pork bellies inched up 0.23 cent to 72.65 cents a pound.
