[November 03, 2009]  The Route 66 Heritage Foundation of Logan County will host its first Home Based Business Expo on Nov. 15 at the American Legion in Lincoln, 1740 Fifth St. Hours will be from noon till 5 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend and see the merchandise and services that are available.

Any business that is based in someone's home, such as Tupperware, Avon, Lia Sophia, Tastefully Simple and even a lawn care business, will be represented at this expo. They will be displaying some of their merchandise, offering cash-and-carry items, booking home parties and taking orders, as well as speaking with visitors about the opportunities they can provide if someone is interested in having their own home business.

Also on hand will be the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce, Lincoln & Logan County Developmental Partnership, and others to discuss how they can assist home-based business owners in becoming more successful.

The Route 66 Heritage Foundation of Logan County is pleased to present this event to the community. It will provide a great business opportunity as well as a great jumpstart to the holiday shopping season by shopping locally. The public is invited to check out all that will be offered.

The proceeds from this event will go toward the restoration project for The Mill. This is one of the main projects for the Route 66 Heritage Foundation of Logan County, which hopes to have the site open as a Route 66 museum by late 2010.
