Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[November 06, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures fell Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery slid 8.75 cents to $5.1225 a bushel, while December corn lost 7.5 cents to $3.765 a bushel and oats for December delivery fell 2.25 cents to $2.5575 a bushel. January soybeans plunged 27 cents to $9.72 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures advanced and pork futures traded lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle inched up 0.1 cent to 86.35 cents a pound; January feeder cattle rose 0.47 cent to 97.17 cents a pound; December lean hogs fell 1.2 cents to 56.6 cents a pound; and February pork bellies edged down 3 cents to 84.8 cents a pound.
